28 de mayo - "Día Nacional de los Jardines de Infantes" y "Día de los y las Maestras Jardineras"

El 28 de mayo es declarado, en memoria de Rosario Vera Peñaloza, como "Día Nacional de los Jardines de Infantes" y "Día de los y las Maestras Jardineras" en Argentina.

Rosario Vera Peñaloza nació el 25 de diciembre de 1873 en el pueblo de Atiles, La Rioja. Dedicó su vida a la enseñanza y fundó el primer Jardín de Infantes argentino. El Consejo Nacional de Educación le encargó la formación del Primer Museo Argentino para la Escuela Primaria, hoy Complejo Museológico del Instituto Félix Bernasconi. Luego de una admirable trayectoria, llegó a Inspectora de Enseñanza Secundaria, Normal y Especial. Falleció el 28 de mayo de 1950. Esa es la fecha que se toma, precisamente, para conmemorar en su honor, el "Día de los y las Maestras Jardineras" y el "Día de los Jardines de Infantes".
